Why do People Join Your Credit Union?
A survey of new members gives very clear answers to this question. There are three main reasons, the first which is extremely rewarding for the staff is that new members come to the Credit Union because their friends and family recommend it. Someone once said that 'word of mouth is the best form of advertising' and this is a perfect demonstration of that saying. If you have recommended someone to join our Credit Union, THANK YOU.
The two other major reasons people join are equally divided between those who sign on because they are 'sick of the Banks' and those who join because they like the way we help the region's children with both School Savings Programme and the Community Partnership Programme which assists schools to improve the learning environments and opportunities.
The Credit Union's Board of Directors are very pleased that there is growing awareness in the community and that the Credit Union is increasingly recognised as being driven by a desire to help its community, particularly the young who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
